Our youth partly defines us. The memory of the 'first' stays with us. The first love, the first kiss, the first of anything. The first time we experience the pure bliss of music. Therefore we go back to the music which defined our youth.

The charts are dominated by 'queens' like Beyoncé, Rihanna, Avril Lavigne, Fergie, Amy Winehouse, Alicia Keys on the one hand and rap legends on the other including Kanye West, Akon, Ludacris, Sean Kingston, 50 Cent and Timbaland.
