At times world-weary, other times tired of living, then simply relaxed, rapper kk! shares his view of urban existence in the post-pandemic era. The newcomer’s beats oscillate between trap and G-funk, sometimes sounding super busy, as on the “Meilenstein Sammler” EP (2024), while he delivers biographical lyrics with deadpan vocals at bedroom volume. Elsewhere, a hazy Sunday morning mood dominates, such as on tracks of the calibre of “geld im kopf” (2024) or “missedcalls” (2025). In any case, kk! has already found his signature sound, on the streets of his hometown, flowing with his gang. ‘I’m not a criminal but live faster’ is the motto of the MC and talented freestyler in the track “lebenschneller”, which sums up his credo with its cough mixture vibe and soulful beat. With the new EP “bout dat guap” (2025) in his belt bag, he’ll be coming to us for the first time in September for a relaxed evening full of positive vibes.
