On Friday, October 23, printmaker and researcher Rosemary Connelli will be presenting linocut prints of Ísafjarðardjúp’s resident humpback whale population, capturing their migration patterns, entanglement stories, and ongoing research and conservation efforts. The prints are referenced by photographs captured by local research organization Whale Wise from ongoing scar analysis and photo-identification projects.

The purpose of this exhibition will be to uplift the local research, inspire educational dialogue, and unite the community to explore and participate in citizen science efforts. A percentage of prints sold will be donated to Whale Wise to assist in ongoing efforts.

Rosemary Connelli is a printmaker and researcher, combining science and artwork to visually communicate and uplift research studies, specifically on cetacean and salmonid populations.
