Swedish metalcore phenomenon Thrown today announce their return to Australia after selling out their entire February 2025 headline tour and will be back this February. Marking Thrown's biggest Australian headline tour to date they'll be joined by special guests Connecticut's Boundaries, Pittsburgh's 156/Silence and opening proceedings will be Australia's own Volatile Ways.
Since emerging from Stockholm, Thrown have established themselves as one of the fastest-rising forces in modern heavy music. Extensive touring alongside acts including Knocked Loose, Counterparts, Fit For A King, While She Sleeps, Wage War and many more has cemented their reputation as one of metalcore's most explosive live bands. Today, thrown continue their meteoric rise with well over one million monthly Spotify listeners and hundreds of millions of streams worldwide.
Thrown recently released "critic," a ferocious new single out now via Arising Empire. Sharp-tongued, crushingly heavy and unapologetically confrontational, the track takes aim at self-appointed tastemakers, performative outrage and the endless cycle of online commentary, proving once again that thrown thrive where others merely make noise. Fuelled by venomous vocals, bone-crushing grooves and explosive breakdowns, "critic" is a ruthless response to a culture obsessed with opinions, metrics and manufactured controversy.
Boundaries are coming in hot, off the heels of their new album Yearning: the unbeautiful after. Recorded with producer Drew Fulk (Knocked Loose, Fit For A King), Yearning: the unbeautiful after captures Boundaries at their most punishing, deliberate, and focused. The 14-track album features guest appearances from The Plot In You’s Landon Tewers (“Crowned and crucified”) and Make Them Suffer (“Torn wide open”). With Boundaries recent visit to Australia supporting The Plot In You on a fully sold out tour, fans know what to expect to from the conninect metalcore group
156/Silence are finally making their debut to our shores where they'll bring their intense, foreboding, and haunting music. Their songs are cinematic, blending brutality with intellect. They draw on real and imagined terror, all woven into melody and power. The band will release their sixth studio album, From A Distance, on September 4, 2026, through Pure Noise Records.
Rounding out the bill will be Newcastle's Volatile Ways with their hard mosh death core made by hardcore kids. With unmatched energy that radiates through their playful disposition at live shows and honouring femininity, the multifaceted four-piece manage to bring brutality to the forefront; having shared stages with The Acacia Strain, Fit For An Autopsy, Bodysnatcher, Kublai Khan, Thrown, Dying Wish and Speed among others.
