The Gamescom Debrief
Háskólinn í Reykjavík, Menntavegur 1, 102 Reykjavík Directions
Wed Oct 21 2026 18:00
Gamescom is the world's biggest games event, and this year several Icelandic teams made the trip to Cologne. Join us to hear from a few of them: the student teams who showcased games made at Reykjavík University, and Deadgroove Games, the studio behind the upcoming Replay, the Musical.
They'll share what it's like to be a small fish in the world's biggest pond, showing their games alongside giants like Blood of the Dawnwalker and the Witcher III DLC:
• What went right
• What went horribly wrong
• And what they'd do differently next time
Join us at Reykjavík University, room V102, on October 21st at 18:00 and find out!
The event will take place at Reykjavík University, in room V102.
Since this is a public space, we kindly ask that you respect it and keep it tidy. GMI will be providing light snacks and drinks.
Feel free to bring your own snacks or drink if you'd like - just make sure to keep it low-key and clean up afterward. 🫶
