One of Australia’s most beloved and successful singer-songwriters, Pete Murray is an undeniable musical icon who has built a 25-year career defined by raw authenticity. He’s released a string of multi-platinum records, and we’re so happy he’s returning to the Twilight at Taronga stage for the 2027 Summer Concert Series.
Murray is a world-class storyteller with an unmatched ability to connect with any audience, and his live performances remain a masterclass in both intimacy and anthemic energy.
‘Feeler’, Murray’s breakthrough album, became the definitive soundtrack for a generation. It remained in the charts for over eighty weeks and spawned timeless hits like "So Beautiful" and “Bail Me Out”.
‘Feeler’ was followed by Murray’s sophomore album ‘See The Sun’ with the smash hits "Better Days" and "Opportunity", and since then his unique blend of acoustic rock and soulful folk has made Murray a permanent, celebrated artist in the Australian cultural landscape.
Murray is currently navigating a powerful creative renaissance following the late 2025 release of his eighth studio album, ‘Longing’.
‘Longing’ marks a monumental milestone as Murray’s first completely independent release in over two decades. A decade in the making, ‘Longing’ debuted at #1 on the Australian Album ARIA charts.
Murray has sold over one million records in Australia, with four consecutive #1 albums and 17 ARIA Award nominations.
In 2026, he isn't just a veteran of his local scene, he’s a fiercely independent artist at the peak of his powers and we’re thrilled he’s playing Twilight at Taronga!
