North of Tomorrow

What happens when existing systems, materials and technologies are approached differently?

Looking at the future from an Icelandic point of view, not as something distant or determined, but as something being shaped in the present.

Through material experiments, digital systems, artificial intelligence and speculative approach to design, the projects question how we make, use and relate to the things around us.

They move between the familiar and the unfamiliar, examining the responsibilities that come with new possibilities.

Part critique, part speculation, part proposal, North of Tomorrow offers a chance to engage with futures still open for debate.
