The last summer concert at Laxness Museum will be held on the 30th of august by non other than singer-songwriter Jelena Ćirić and her longtime collaborators Margrét Arnardóttir on accordion and Karl Pestka on viola. Jelena is a five-time nominee of the Icelandic Music Awards and winner of 2021 Folk Album of the Year. Born in Serbia and raised in Canada, Jelena’s songs are nourished by the rich folk melodies of the Balkans as well as the songwriting tradition of North America. Her expressive voice and piano playing evoke the likes of Laura Marling and Joni Mitchell, but it’s her storytelling that grabs the spotlight and cuts straight to the heart.

Tickets are sold on the day of the concert in the reception of the museum. The price is 3900 kr.
