Dove Ellis is a songwriter and performer from the west of Ireland. In the UK and Ireland’s ever-accelerating music scene, genres are dissolving faster than ever before, and Dove is a prime example of this shapeshifting Next-Gen. His writing goes from soft acoustic ballads to hammering bass lines to visceral, ambient soundscapes – all kept tight and cohesive behind his high tenor croon. Dove has been spreading word-of-mouth with notable performances, and now, debut single To The Sandals has delivered on all the promise.
Ever since their first emergence in 2020 Inspector Spacetime has been a constant presence in the Icelandic music scene. By blending dance music, pop, and electronica they’ve conjured up a delicious recipe that is sure to get you moving. One of the band’s main attractions is their live show, turning bad moods good and good moods to elation with their electrically vibrant on-stage energy. Crushing drums, bouncy basslines and enough melodic sweetness to quench the thirst of the poppiest pop connoisseurs is sure to leave viewers gladly giving in to the phenomena that is Inspector Spacetime.
Joe and The Shitboys are a band of “bisexual vegans” from the Faroe Islands. How do we know that? Because it’s the very first thing they say on stage at Gaukurinn, the cult venue in downtown Reykjavik on Saturday night (November 9). The venue is beloved by its attendees for several reasons: the food menu is Vegan-only (and delicious), and the establishment only features gender-neutral bathrooms. Gaukurinn describes themselves as a “queer friendly space”, and asks patrons to bring, “joy, love and respect”. – Thomas Smith (NME)
Since their start in 2012, five-piece Oyama has been building a steady reputation as one of Reykjavík’s finest rock bands. Their sound is rooted in the shoegaze of the 90s, and their music pivots between soothing, airy dream pop and fuzzy, psychedelic noise rock. The band reaches high sonic peaks and awakens deep sensations with its mixture of spacious, noisy soundscapes, tender vocal harmonies, and lyrics built on a solid foundation of teen angst and enduring friendship.
Oyama have released two LPs (‘Coolboy’ and ‘Everyone Left’) and two EPs (‘I Wanna’ and ‘Opaque Days’). They have performed at showcase festivals and events all over Europe, including Iceland Airwaves, Eurosonic, by Larm, The Great Escape, Club NME, Ja Ja Ja, and Air D’Islande, as well as playing to packed audiences in Japan.

RSP is one of the hottast acts on the Faroese music scene, getting a Faroese Music Award for best new act. Their debut single "Send mær meira pengar" becam an instant hit, and just last week was chosen radio hit of the year.

Andervel is the stage name of songwriter and composer José Luis Anderson. His music is a blend of folk, pop, alternative and traditional music.
After they released their first song via Soundcloud, Any Young Mechanic went viral straightaway. As rapid as such things are in our age of social media, the first notes of this band sound relaxed and, despite everything, maintain a pleasantly low-key vibe. ‘There's A New Place On The Market’ is nonetheless a rugged, wonderfully arranged and just utterly charming intro for a young ensemble that plainly puts its heart and soul into making music with no airs or graces. This is no longer a given in these times. Anyone who can connect to the bittersweet art rock of Wilco, the baroque chamber folk of Fleet Foxes or the yearning indie of Big Thief will absolutely want to listen to Any Young Mechanic. Anyhow, this band already has plenty of potential. Happily, they are also bringing fresh material with them for their Reeperbahn premiere.

Heartworms, the brainchild of musician and poet Jojo Orme, is a cauldron of perplexity. Orme’s gothic take on avant-garde post-punk is beguiling; sardonic prose is delivered in a deceptively innocent manner, while irresistibly off-kilter grooves clash with a cacophony of reverb-drenched guitars. Dystopian. That’s the first adjective anyone ever used to describe south London auteur Heartworms, after the project was brought to life by its architect Jojo. Heartworms is the conduit for Jojo’s entire identity – her laying down a purposefully discomforting challenge to the outside world.
At just 24, Jamie Duffy has emerged as one of Ireland’s most compelling new artists, blending folk, classical, and contemporary influences into a sound that’s both intimate and cinematic. His debut single Solas became the most streamed debut by an Irish artist since Hozier’s Take Me To Church, with over 135+ million streams on Spotify, 27 million YouTube views, and 7.3 billion views on TikTok.
In 2024, he released his debut EP On A Wing, sold out his first Irish headline tour (2,600+ tickets), and supported Andrea Bocelli and Hans Zimmer at BST Hyde Park.
In October 2025, he released his highly anticipated debut album Jamie Duffy. Crafted over two years between wild coastlines and still nights across the two awe-inspiring landscapes of Ireland and Iceland, the album reflects Jamie’s rural Monaghan roots, shaped by changing environments, Irish folklore, love, light and trepidation. Mar Pujol is a 25-year-old singer-songwriter from Catalonia. Mediterranean stylistic traces can be sensed in her music, which is often based on a restful pop, with folk nuances. An earthly and ethereal proposal driven by the simplicity and rawness of a voice and a classical guitar. Her first full-length, Cençons de Rebost, came out in February 2024, a compendium of melodies that aim to preserve fragments of our everyday life. Live she is supported by Bruna González on cello.

Jonas Šarkus audiovisual artistic project "punktò", reached its first high point with his debut album QQ. The LP introduces listeners to the world of the Lithuanian artist, and accompanying themes like the dark side of humanity, plus adding a dose of sharp irony. From the very beginning, the goal of the project was to create dialogue with artists from different fields, and the discovery of new art forms. Music videos for the singles Ne Daiktai and La La La have been praised and recognized at awards events around Europe.

Of Sunna Margrét’s debut album Finger on Tongue, The Quietus wrote: “Oddball Icelandic pop packs a dense punch, heavy with ideas.” Her music fuses hypnotic rhythms, jagged synth lines and raw, magnetic vocals, creating songs that are playful and unsettling. Electronic Sound called it “weaving reinvented trip-hop,” while Sunna cites CAN’s experimental drive, Suzanne Ciani’s synth futurism and PJ Harvey’s intensity as influences. The album won international acclaim, with Paste naming it one of the “40 Best Debut Albums of 2024” and featured her Iceland Airwaves 2024 set among the festival’s ten best performances. The Line of Best Fit praised Sunna’s performance as “spacey, dramatic, rhythmically hypnotising,” while KEXP’s Kevin Cole also singled her out as a highlight, having already interviewed her for an in-studio session during Taste of Iceland Seattle 2024. Sunna has also appeared at The Great Escape (UK), ESNS (NL), SXSW (US) and will perform at Iceland Airwaves 2025.

SCAM is Reykjavík’s newest sonic experiment, making their debut at Iceland Airwaves ‘25. Hollywood film composer and producer Herdís Stefánsdóttir joins forces with Salka Valsdóttir, producer, songwriter, and founding member of the hip-hop collective Daughters of Reykjavík. Together, they unleash a wild fusion of electronica, dance, pop, and hardcore techno. Raw, unpredictable, and immersive — SCAM takes you on a journey of all the senses.

A band that accepts no compromises: Them Flying Monkeys grab noise rock by the ankles and turn the genre on its head until all the lint has trickled out of their trouser pockets. The five-piece from Sintra, Portugal, master powerful avalanches of fuzz with frightening precision but also add laconic lyrics with reverbs and neo-psychedelic melodic peaks for maximum auditory impact. As if they had never done anything else, on this year’s album, ‘Best Behaviour’ (2025), Them Flying Monkeys succeed in translating a rock style that is mainly established in small clubs onto the big festival stages. On their debut, ‘Golden Cap’ (2017), they worked with warm and organically produced dream pop reminiscent of the 70s – just as successful, just as stylistically confident. Album number two – ‘Under The Weather’ (2020) – was something of a transition from one style to the next, which only speaks in favour of the band and their songwriting process. It is therefore difficult to predict where the journey will take them. What is certain, however, is that they have reached the zenith of their work to date with this year’s opus and are therefore ideally equipped for an immersive live gig with us.

The Gnomes (fka Gnome) is a four-piece rock band from Frankston, Australia, known for their tight sound, classic songwriting, and energetic live shows. Originally a solo project, The Gnomes has grown into a louder, sharper outfit with a full band lineup and a harder edge.
Taking influence from The Kinks, The Easybeats, and The Lemon Twigs, The Gnomes blends catchy melodies with driving beats, mixing the spirit of the ’60s with a fresh edge. Their sound pulls from Merseybeat, power pop, and vintage rock ’n’ roll, with a modern feel that’s punchy and direct.
The Gnomes early recordings leaned into lo-fi indie and slowcore, but now as a band their recent works mark a clear shift toward a more energetic, Rock'n'Roll guitar-driven approach. Their shows are full of energy, heart, and a little bit of chaos.
With a growing list of gigs under their belt and a more focused sound, The Gnomes are carving out a space in Melbourne’s rock scene, one punchy set at a time.
