The beloved Faroese musician Guðrið Hansdóttir returns to Iceland with brand new, fresh music in tow! She is celebrating the release of her seventh studio album, Sýrublað, with a concert at Midgard Base Camp on 28 October.
Guðrið says of the music:
"The music is like biting into a sorrel leaf (súra) – fresh, crisp, green and slightly sour."
The album is produced by Høgni Lisberg and is marked by the catchy, dreamy indie-pop sound Guðrið is known for. She has been prominent in the Faroese and Nordic music scene since the turn of the millennium, both as a solo artist and as part of the electropop duo BYRTA. Her previous album, Gult myrkur, was named Album of the Year at the Faroese Music Awards (FMA).
Guðrið won't be alone on stage, as she is joined by two outstanding bandmates. Don't miss the chance to experience one of the Faroese music scene's brightest stars in a live, intimate setting at Midgard Base Camp.
