In a time of digital chaos and concrete sprawl, the frequencies have locked in and a citadel for heavy and alternative music will emerge once again in 2026. Welcome to the next evolution of Australiaโs largest travelling music celebration, with Good Things Festival returning this year for another monumental cycle, armed with a colossal lineup from every sector, spanning culture-shaping legends through to the current defining generation of the alternative scene and emerging artists set to shape the future. Locked in across the East Coast this December, all event dates will once again be 16+ and up. The network is alive, and the architectural soundscape awaits to welcome all generations in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane this December.
Leading the primary frequency for Good Things Festival in 2026, ๐๐๐ ๐ฃ ๐๐๐ญ๐๐๐งโs imprint on nu metal and alternative culture has generated an enduring and towering reputation throughout the bandโs 30+ year career. As one of the major pioneers of nu metal, and one of the most successful bands in the scene of all time, ๐๐๐ ๐ฃ ๐๐๐ญ๐๐๐งโs signature collision of rap rock, grooves, searing riffs, angsty themes and larger than life performances has transcended the group from the late 90s breeding ground of MTV and teenage frustrations into enamouring a multi-generational fanbase with high octane party anthems and entertaining chaos decades since their formation. Exploding out of the gates with their debut full-length album, 1997โs ๐๐๐ง๐๐ ๐ฟ๐ค๐ก๐ก๐๐ง ๐ฝ๐๐ก๐ก, ๐โ๐๐ก๐ก, ๐๐๐ ๐ฃ ๐๐๐ญ๐๐๐งโs sophomore 1999 album ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ฉ ๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ง reached #1 on the US Billboard 200, ticked off two ๐๐ฅ๐๐ ๐ ๐ฌ Award Nominations, was certified 7 x Platinum, and spawned some of the bandโs perennially adored singles, including ๐๐ณ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฌ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ง๐ง and ๐๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฌ๐ช๐ฆ. Now with six studio albums under their belts, including 2000โs ๐พ๐๐ค๐๐ค๐ก๐๐ฉ๐ ๐๐ฉ๐๐ง๐๐๐จ๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐ค๐ฉ ๐ฟ๐ค๐ ๐๐ก๐๐ซ๐ค๐ง๐๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ง which set the record for the fastest-selling rock album of all time, and their most recent full-length venture, 2021โs ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐พ๐๐, ๐๐๐ ๐ฃ ๐๐๐ญ๐๐๐ง continue to blitz streaming charts to this very day, sell out international tours and headline powerhouse global festivals, including Download Festival earlier this year. ๐๐๐ ๐ฃ ๐๐๐ญ๐๐๐ง will make their return to Good Things Festival in 2026 as headliners following their unforgettable performances at the 2023 edition and selling out their headline sideshows in Brisbane and Melbourne. Believe the hype, thereโs nothing quite like a ๐๐๐ ๐ฃ ๐๐๐ญ๐๐๐ง live show, and these will be monolithic performances to truly rattle the mainframe.
As one of the most culturally and commercially successful bands in rock, ๐ฆ๐๐ ๐ฃ๐๐ ๐ฃ๐๐๐ก have spent over two decades cultivating and evolving their status as pop punk legends. Now in command of over 10 billion streams worldwide, almost 2 billion views on YouTube, and an inescapable social media presence that bridges their longtime fans with a whole new generation, ๐ฆ๐๐ ๐ฃ๐๐ ๐ฃ๐๐๐ก have never been a band content to rest on their laurels. The groupโs multi-platinum 2002 album ๐๐ค ๐๐๐๐จ, ๐๐ค ๐๐๐ก๐ข๐๐ฉ๐จโฆ๐ ๐ช๐จ๐ฉ ๐ฝ๐๐ก๐ก๐จ introduced the world to smash singles like ๐โ๐ฅ ๐๐ฐ ๐๐ฏ๐บ๐ต๐ฉ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ, ๐โ๐ฎ ๐๐ถ๐ด๐ต ๐ ๐๐ช๐ฅ, ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ช๐ค๐ต๐ฆ๐ฅ and ๐๐ฆ๐ณ๐ง๐ฆ๐ค๐ต, while later hits spanning ๐๐ฆ๐ญ๐ค๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐๐ฐ ๐๐บ ๐๐ช๐ง๐ฆ, ๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ณ ๐๐ข๐ณ๐ข๐ฅ๐ช๐ด๐ฆ, ๐๐ฏ๐ต๐ช๐ต๐ญ๐ฆ๐ฅ (๐๐ฐ๐ธ ๐๐ฐ๐ถ๐ญ๐ฅ ๐๐ฉ๐ช๐ด ๐๐ข๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ฏ ๐๐ฐ ๐๐ฆ?) and more catapulted the Montreal-hailing quartet onto the main stages of Vans Warped Tour and When We Were Young, along with performances at the 2010 Winter Olympics, worldwide amphitheatre and arena tours with some of the sceneโs biggest names, and massive headline treks along the way. Famous for their buoyant performances laden with pop punk anthems and infectious enthusiasm, ๐ฆ๐๐ ๐ฃ๐๐ ๐ฃ๐๐๐ก have also raised more than $3 million through their Simple Plan Foundation over the years. Recently celebrating their 25th anniversary in 2025, including a co-headline run with The Offspring down under, ๐ฆ๐๐ ๐ฃ๐๐ ๐ฃ๐๐๐ก will once again wow Good Things Festival crowds in 2026 after their mesmerising appearances at the event in 2019.
This December, a monolithic sonic sanctuary awaits. Escape the corporate static. Plug into the spectacular chaos. Embrace the noise. The future is now. Good Things are here. End of transmission.

MinistryBorn in 1981 in Chicago. In its early days, Ministry was identifiable by its heavy synth-pop material in line with the new sounds and technology that were being developed in the โ80s. Ministryโs output began with four 12โ singles on Wax Trax! Records in 1981 before the first LP With Sympathy in 1983 via Arista Records. As time progressed however, so did Ministry, quickly developing a harsher, and more stylized sound that the band soon became infamous for on seminal Sire/Warner albums Twitch (1986), The Land of Rape and Honey (1988), and The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste (1989). With the release of Psalm 69: The Way to Succeed and The Way to Suck Eggs (1992), Ministry hit an all-time high in the mainstream musical realm and received its first Grammy nomination (the first of six). Eight more albums would follow on various labels including their own 13th Planet imprint. After a break in 2013, the band reformed, toured and signed to Nuclear Blast with three releases. AmeriKKKant (2018), Moral Hygiene (2021), and HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES (2024). Late 2024, Ministry signed with Cleopatra Records and released The Squirrely Years Revisited. Celebrating the early synth pop years with new studio takes.

GrinspoonGrinspoon are an Australian rock band from Lismore, New South Wales, formed in 1995 and fronted by Phil Jamieson on vocals and guitar with Pat Davern on guitar, Joe Hansen on bass guitar and Kristian Hopes on drums. Also in 1995, Grinspoon won the Triple J-sponsored Unearthed competition for Lismore, with their post-grunge song "Sickfest". The name "Grinspoon" was taken from Dr. Lester Grinspoon, an associate professor emeritus of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, who supported marijuana for medical use. The Grinspoon sound changed to more mainstream rock at the release of the 2002 album, New Detention, gaining fans and peaking at No. 2 on the ARIA Albums Charts; similarly 2007's Alibis & Other Lies also reached No. 2. The 2004 album, Thrills, Kills & Sunday Pills, which peaked at No. 4, won the 2005 'Best Rock Album Award' at the ARIA Music Awards.

vianovaSince forming in 2016, Vianova have carved out their own niche between progressive metal and djent, paying no heed to the conventions of the scene. After their debut EP โA Place I Want To Live In But I Don't Want To Die Forโ (2018), the quintet from Berlin gained a ton of stage experience and grew together as a musical friendship project with their own unique style. You can hear this on their follow-up EPs โLooking For...โ (2022) and โ...A Way Outโ (2023) as well as at their hugely intense concerts, which have earned them acclaim well beyond Germany. Word has got around that Vianova are now among the local leading lights of metalcore, breathing new life into the genre with rapid release bends and pitch shifts, atmospheric electronic passages and razor-sharp precision playing. The guys themselves call it โangry dance musicโ. Who are we to argue? There couldn't be a more innovative sound to dance, go wild and shout along to.

SpeedSince their inception in 2019, hardcore five-piece SPEED has evolved from a DIY Australian band to a global powerhouse. Their 2024 debut album ONLY ONE MODE catapulted the group into the spotlight; but in the midst of SPEEDโs unprecedented success, tragedies struck. SPEEDโs latest project, ALL MY ANGELS, is a three-track EP that reflects on the passing of three close friends in recent years. Those events brought intense heartbreak to their community, but over time, theyโve magnified what SPEED have always held as their central ethos: To love unconditionally, without fear or regret. In the years prior to ALL MY ANGELS, the band wrestled with their collective grief and life on the road. On ALL MY ANGELS, that same collective grief has brought the five friends closer together; emboldening them to live life with greater clarity. Lyrics on the EP address the sobering realities of loss, more vulnerable and raw than ever before. Musically, ALL MY ANGELS further explores what SPEED can contribute to modern hardcore; hitting deeper pockets of groove, experimenting with synths and samples, and delivering cathartic hooks that make it their most soul-baring effort. More than ever, SPEED is a band thatโs being guided by their lived experiences, from eye-opening triumphs to the most harrowing losses. In any case, theyโll continue to move forward with love and conviction.
