A concert, celebration of 40 years of service at the organ, album launch and the organist's birthday.

On Sunday, September 27th, we celebrate a very special milestone in the career of our organist Björn Steinar Sólbergsson with a concert at Hallgrímskirkja.

Björn Steinar celebrates 40 years at the organ, and his new album that was released earlier this year. The concert will also serve as the official album launch.

The programme features a selection of works connected to the new recording and to the musical world that has shaped Björn Steinar’s remarkable four-decade career.

And there is one more reason to celebrate: it is also Björn Steinar’s birthday!

Join us for this concert full of music and celebration as we mark 40 years at the organ, the release of a new album, and a very special birthday.

Björn Steinar's new CD, Icelandic Organmusic, will be for sale in the church shop before and after the concert.
